Pournima

Tripurasura (Sanskrit: त्रिपुरासुर) is a trio of asura brothers named Tarakaksha, Vidyunmāli and Kamalaksha, who were the sons of the asura Tarakasura. These three began to perform severe tapasya. They were then granted boons by Brahma to have three forts: gold, silver, and iron, which angered the Devas. Vishnu then made a new religion to make them evil, and the objective of killing the asuras was taken upon by Lord Shiva, which took three days on the battlefield, finally killing Tripurasura and destroying the three cities. This occurred on the full moon day in the

Kartik month and therefore the day is celebrated as Tripurari Pournima.

Tarakasur

Grandson - Gayasura

Gracious after victory

On the way, He met the mountain-asura, Krowncha, who was entrapping and killing innocent passers-by. With one throw of his Vel, Lord Subrahmanya, ended the cruel pastime of the wicked wretch.

The destruction of Krowncha, one of the lieutenants of Tarakasura, infuriated the latter, and he came raging to Lord Shanmukha. He had the Sudarsana Chakra of Lord Vishnu dangling around his neck as a token of his having defeated Lord Vishnu!

In the grim fight that ensued, Tarakasura employed all the known tactics of warfare and used innumerable missiles against the army of the Devas battling under the generalship of Lord Subrahmanya. But to his utter disappointment and dismay, no missile had any effect on Him, and, what was disastrous to him, none returned to the sender, as it was the wont heretofore. Having failed with every other weapon, Taraka took up the Pasupatastra, which he had wrested from Lord Siva and sent it in due form against Lord Karttik. The latter, meditating with concentration upon the glories of his Father, calmly received the Astra and kept it aside.

This unexpected finale filled the Asura with dread and a sense of helplessness. At last the Lord despatched his Vel, and Tarakasura, the younger brother of Surapadma, was killed. Tarakasura then became elephant served Hari-Hara-Putra as his Vahana

  1.  When Arunagirinathar requested Lord Muruga to appear in front of 3000 people in Thiruvannamalai, Lord Muruga did appear in front of everyone. Due to seeing such a great  light every one who have seen Lord Muruga lost their eyesight including the King Prabudadeva Rajan
  2.  As per King's request Arunagirinathar went to heaven and he got back the Parijatha Flower (பவழ மல்லி - flower which has healing powers). Arunagirinathar has to use the technique of transferring his soul to a dead parrot's soul to go to heaven.

Peacock Rooster

 1. Rooster: Rooster wakes us up in the morning. Hence, Rooster is a symbolic representation of morning and Sun. The Sun-God represents Shiv or Shakta, the core aspect of Nature.

2. Peacock: Peacock loves and enjoys dancing in the rain. What does rainwater symbolize? According to Akhand Sutra, water represents Shakti, the dynamic aspect of Nature and the Moon.

https://freeglobaluniversity.blogspot.com/search/label/SunMoonStarSky

3. Shakta and Shakti represent two integral and inseparable parts of Nature.

https://freeglobaluniversity.blogspot.com/search/label/Nature

4. Sun-Shiv-Shakta is equal to 38.1966% of Nature.

5. Moon-Earth-Shakti is equal to 61.8034% of Nature.

6. The ratio of 38.1966% and 61.8034% is called Divyank Ratio.

7. Divyank Ratio is derived from Divyank, the Divine Constant.

8. Rooster-Energy-Sun: Sun-God is represented as Pingala-Nadi in the human body. The activation of Pingala-Nadi (Mihir-Nadi or Sun-Nad) is responsible for warming the human body.

9. Peacock-Water-Moon: Moon is represented as Ida-Nadi in the human body. The activation of Ida-Nadi (Sisir-Nadi or Moon-Nadi) is responsible for cooling the human body.

0. The balance of Pingala-Nadi and Ida-Nadi is required for integrated health and well-being.

1008

See soorpdhaman’s reaction. His 1008 continents were contained in single hair of leg of Lord Skanda. Lord Skanda is the embodiment of everything. His body contained crores of brahmandas/universes along with all devas, humans and asuras.

The Lord's most delightful form left sooran absolutely wonderstruck. The great light without the beginning or The end stood there as Shanmugan's most stunning Viswaroopam. When his eyes were fixed at the image, the Lord gave him the vision of wisdom for sometime. "Skanda is not a child, as I ignorantly thought; he is none other than Paramesvara. He has fought a fierce war effortlessly, exterminated my army, took away Indra's chariot from me and destroyed the various forms of Maya I took. He has shown me His Visvarupa out of grace; this form is unparalleled, having on its body the Devas, Asuras, humans and crores of Brahmandas. Pride of wealth and suzerainty prevented me from listening to the sane words of my brother Simhamukha and son Bhanukopa. He is the embodiment of everything,as I am able to see right before my eyes. I had slighted him as a small boy,all along. He is God Almighty. He is none else than the God whom I adore,a great spectacle on the peacock mount. My 1008 continents have been contained in one hair on his leg. I have had the privilege of seeing His Visvarupa from head to foot. Still I am not satisfied; desire to keep seeing increases. Due to my tapas I could see this divine form. I experience bhakti welling in my heart; I feel like circumambulating and prostrating before Him and praising him. Oh, my right eye and hand throb; this is auspicious. What is the difficulty for Him in killing me? It is all sport. Now another thought crossed the mind of Surapadma: Ignorant people advised me to surrender to him. It is only by imprisoning the Devas and fighting Skanda that I could see His Visvarupa."

Yogis of yore determined that each temple stimulates a specific chakra in the subtle body of man: Tirupparankundram lights a fire in the muladhara chakra governing memory at the base of the spine. Tiruchendur moves the next chakra, svadhishthana, below the navel, governing reason. Palani animates the manipura chakra of willpower at the solar plexus. Swamimalai spins the heart chakra, anahata, the center of direct cognition. Tiruttani opens the vishuddha chakra of divine love at the throat, and Palamuthirsolai electrifies the third eye of divine sight, ajna chakra.
