Murugan devotees patiently read and understand the whole thing
1. There are 2 sources in Thiruchendur called Balasubramania Swami and Shanmugar . Swami Balasubramaniya looking east , Shanmugha graces, looking south.
2. In Thiruchendur, Veeravaku Thevar is the guardian deity. Hence the name Veeravaku Pattinam.

42. The annual income of the Thiruchendur Murugan Temple is presently about Rs. 30 crore.

48. In front of the sanctuary at Thiruchendur are two peacocks and a Nandi. Do you know why that is ? Murugan already has a peacock vehicle. And then the splinter split , did not one part become a peacock and the other part a rooster flag ? When the massacre was over , along with the existing peacock , this peacock (Suran) came along and stopped at Senthur as two peacocks. Indrane was the peacock vehicle for Murugan before the Surasamaharam. After Murugan conquered Surana , he sent Indra to the divine leadership and took Surana, who had turned into a peacock, as his vehicle. So , Nandi of Shiva , along with the peacocks, is opposite the sanctum sanctorum.
49. During the Avani festival , Lord Murugan is portrayed as an aspect of the trinity of Lord Shiva , Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma.
